Itinerary

Tour in Pisa. Spending half a day in Pisa offers just enough time to discover its charm beyond the Leaning Tower. Begin with a walk along the Arno, where the Lungarni reveal colorful palaces and bridges glowing in the Tuscan light. Continue into the historic center, wandering through lively streets filled with cafés, artisan shops, and hidden courtyards that capture the city’s authentic spirit. Stop at the tiny Gothic jewel of Santa Maria della Spina by the river, then explore the medieval atmosphere of Borgo Stretto with its arcades and boutiques. For art and culture, Palazzo Blu often hosts engaging exhibitions, while the Museo Nazionale di San Matteo preserves masterpieces of medieval sculpture and painting. Before leaving, taste Pisa through its flavors: a slice of cecina, a hearty local soup, or a sweet pastry from a traditional bakery. Even in just a few hours, Pisa reveals itself as a city where history, art, and daily life blend gracefully, leaving visitors with lasting impressions.

Leonardian Museum in Vinci. The Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Vinci offers a fascinating journey into the genius of one of history’s greatest minds. Housed in the medieval Castello dei Conti Guidi and the nearby Palazzina Uzielli, the museum displays an extraordinary collection of models, machines, and interactive exhibits inspired by Leonardo’s drawings. Visitors can explore reconstructions of his inventions, from war devices and hydraulic systems to flying machines, alongside multimedia installations that explain his studies of engineering, anatomy, and optics. The setting itself, in the heart of Leonardo’s birthplace, enhances the experience, with views over the Tuscan hills that recall the landscapes often sketched in his works. The museum captures the spirit of Renaissance curiosity and innovation, showing Leonardo not only as an artist but also as an engineer, scientist, and visionary. A visit here reveals how his ideas, centuries ahead of their time, continue to inspire creativity and wonder today, making Vinci an essential destination for anyone wishing to understand the depth of Leonardo’s genius.

Vinci. Nestled among the rolling hills of Tuscany, Vinci is a small town that charms visitors with its peaceful atmosphere and timeless beauty. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the village preserves its medieval character with narrow stone streets, ancient towers, and quiet squares where daily life unfolds slowly. The heart of Vinci is dominated by the Castello dei Conti Guidi, whose walls offer panoramic views of the gentle countryside stretching to the horizon. Walking through the village reveals artisan workshops, traditional trattorias, and glimpses of the Tuscan landscape that has remained almost unchanged for centuries. The pace here invites travelers to pause, enjoy a glass of local wine, and soak in the harmony between nature and history. Vinci is not just a place to visit but an authentic Tuscan experience, where the charm of a small community blends with the beauty of its surroundings, leaving every visitor with a lasting impression of simplicity and grace.
