Beneath Atlantis, The Palm lies The Lost Chambers Aquarium, a labyrinth of halls, tunnels and passageways built around the myth of the sunken city. More than 65,000 marine animals live here across upwards of twenty exhibits: sharks patrol the vast Ambassador Lagoon, moray eels coil in the ruins, seahorses drift in a gallery of their own, and piranhas, jellyfish and rays each hold their own chamber. Ancient-looking statuary and half-collapsed archways are threaded between the tanks, so the walk feels less like a museum route and more like an excavation. A supervised touch tank brings you face to face with starfish and other shallow-water species, and marine specialists are stationed through the halls to answer questions as you go. Allow around two hours to see it properly.
