Explore the highlights of northern Morocco on a 2-day tour from the Algeciras port in southern Spain. Visit the cities of Ceuta, Tetouan, and Chefchaouen (the Blue City) with guides who take you to palaces, souks, medinas, and mosques in these authentic Moroccan cities. Your package includes round-trip ferry tickets, air-conditioned minibus, local guides in each destination, one night of hotel accommodation, and most meals.

Itinerary

Algeciras - Ceuta - Tetouan. Reception by our staff in the Port of Algeciras and high-speed boat crossing to Ceuta. Upon arrival, accommodation by coach or minibus and panoramic visit. During the tour we will see the Royal Walls and the Moat of San Felipe, the Plaza de África and the historic center of the city until we reach the viewpoint of San Antonio on Monte Hacho, with spectacular views of the Strait of Gibraltar. Border procedures with Morocco and transfer to Tetouan, capital of the Spanish "Protectorate" until 1956, and the most Andalusian city in Morocco, also known as "La Paloma Blanca". Among other places of interest, we will visit: the Hassan II Square, where the Royal Palace is located, the Jewish quarter or "Mellal", the Berber souk and the Medina. We will visit the "Berber" pharmacy where products and natural remedies of millenary tradition are offered, such as Argan oil or rosehip among the most outstanding. At noon, lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant enlivened with traditional live music. After lunch you will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs and handicrafts in one of the local cooperatives. Transfer to the selected hotel in Tetouan or M'Diq.Dinner and overnight.

Tetouan - Chaouen - Algeciras. Breakfast and continuation of the trip to Chauen, settled in a valley in the Rif mountain range. Its name, which in Rif dialect means "horns", alludes to the two mountain peaks visible from the city, founded in 1471 by Muslims and Jews exiled from Al-Andalus. They imitated the narrow and irregular layout of the Andalusian villages, and whitewashed their houses in blue tones, a custom that their current inhabitants preserve. Guided walking tour of the medina lunch and then free time to enjoy the city at your leisure and do your shopping. At the time indicated by the guide, we will resume our coach to make the return transfer to Ceuta. Boarding back to Algeciras.
