You will begin the tour from 5 Wells Square, an iconic landmark of Zadar that the historians consider to be the beginning of Zadar as a city. Then, you will move on to the first public park in Croatia, Queen Jelena Madijevka Park, getting a view of the monumental Landward Gate or Kopnena vrata. A UNESCO World Heritage site along with the City Walls of the 16th and 17th centuries, it has the Lion of Saint Mark, a symbol of the Republic of Venice. Nearby, you will encounter the church of St. Simon, one of the patrons of Zadar whose remains are kept there in a 280-kilogram gilded chest of silver
