Itinerary

Colosseum. Your private driver will pick you up directly at your hotel and escort you to the Colosseum, where your tour guide awaits. After admiring the majestic and remarkably preserved Arch of Constantine, you will step inside the Colosseum—the grandest amphitheater of the ancient world—and marvel at its incredible history and scale. Commissioned by Emperor Vespasian in the 1st century AD, this monumental feat of Roman engineering was designed to showcase the supreme power and wealth of the Flavian dynasty. Standing at the heart of the Eternal City for over two millennia, it remains a timeless symbol of ancient Rome's glory.

Roman Forum. From the outside, your guide will also explain the Roman Forum, pointing out the vast and impressive ruins visible from the viewing points. Along the route, your guide will highlight the best scenic spots to capture panoramic photographs of the temples, triumphal arches, and ancient basilicas. They will also share practical insider tips on the best routes to take if you decide to walk through the Forum ruins on your own. Since your Colosseum ticket includes entry to the Roman Forum within 24 hours, feel free to ask your guide for details on exploring it further. By the end of this Ancient Rome tour, you will have a rich and complete understanding of everyday life in the Roman Empire.

Trevi Fountain. Your driver will drop you off just steps away from each square and fountain for a seamless walking tour with your guide. Among these highlights is the Trevi Fountain—a hidden Baroque masterpiece and arguably Rome’s most breathtaking fountain. Fed by an ancient aqueduct that once supplied imperial Rome, this legendary landmark captivates visitors from around the world. Don't forget to toss a coin over your left shoulder into its crystal-clear waters to guarantee your future return to the Eternal City!

Spanish Steps. Continue your journey through Rome’s most iconic highlights as you reach the Spanish Steps, one of the city's most beloved landmarks. Looking up toward the Church of Trinità dei Monti—perched atop the famous 135-step staircase with Pietro Bernini’s Fontana della Barcaccia nestling at its base—you will marvel at the sheer elegance and architectural mastery required to create this 18th-century masterpiece.

Pantheon. A true masterpiece to admire on your tour of Rome: The Pantheon. Immaculately preserved and seemingly only a few centuries old, it's hard to believe the structure was completed in AD 128 by Emperor Hadrian. In the square in front - a gathering place for locals – discover a decorative 16th-century fountain sitting beneath the Egyptian obelisk. Kindly note that the line may be too long due to the metal detector, and the visit is from outside.

Piazza Navona. No visit to Rome is complete without experiencing Piazza Navona, one of the city's most magnificent and expansive squares. Renowned worldwide for Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s masterpiece, the Fountain of the Four Rivers, this lively square represents four of the world's great rivers: the Nile, the Ganges, the Danube, and the Río de la Plata. Today, the monumental fountain stands at the vibrant heart of the piazza, surrounded by local painters, street artists, and bustling outdoor cafés.

Lunch: This comprehensive, worry-free experience includes a delicious lunch at a curated local restaurant, where you will savor authentic Roman specialties. See picture for the menu

Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Step inside the Vatican Museums, home to one of the world's greatest art collections spanning Ancient Egypt, classical Greece, Rome, and the Italian Renaissance. You will walk through famous galleries, such as the Gallery of Tapestries and the monumental Gallery of Maps, marveling at the incredible craftsmanship on display. Your journey through these sacred halls offers a fascinating glimpse into the vast cultural heritage gathered by the Popes over hundreds of years. You will then discover the secrets of the Sistine Chapel and its world-famous Michelangelo frescoes. Here, you will have time to absorb the dramatic details of his masterpiece, The Last Judgment. Standing beneath this monumental ceiling is an unforgettable experience, offering a profound connection to the pinnacle of High Renaissance art.

St. Peter's Basilica. Your guide will lead you from the Sistine Chapel toward St. Peter’s Basilica, optimizing your visit with an expert introduction in the courtyard. Once inside the world's largest church, you can focus on iconic treasures such as Michelangelo's Pietà and Bernini's spectacular Baldachin, while taking a moment to experience the sacred, peaceful atmosphere. Before concluding your tour, step out into St. Peter’s Square to admire Bernini's famous curved colonnades and the Apostolic Palace. 📌 Important Guidelines: Dress Code: Shoulders and knees must be covered for entrance to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and Basilica. Photography: Non-flash photos are permitted inside the Basilica.
