Itinerary

This city is located in the region of wine, in South Moravia, a few kilometers from Brno, on the border of the Czech Republic and Austria. It’s surrounded by vineyards, since it’s the warmest area in the country. The Wine Salon of the Czech Republic is a permanent degustation exhibit of the best Moravian and Bohemian wines, located in the basement of Valtice Chateau.

The castle in Lednice is a very popular attraction, along with the park that is by it. In the mid 19th. century, the manor received a full makeover in the Gothic style as we can see it today. The surrounding huge landscape park is a great place to spend some walking and relaxing time, and don’t miss the chance to see a greenhouse. Lednice is also a great place to do wine tasting.

Mikulov is spread on the last hills of the Pálava Mountains and surrounded with vineyards. The Baroque Chateau is now the seat of the Regional Museum, where you can find the most extensive local exposition on wine-growing and wine-making, including a unique giant wine barrel. Here you can also visit the castle’s library.
