This private tour from Salzburg to the picturesque towns of St. Gilgen and Hallstatt takes you through a fairytale landscape with spectacular views. You can walk along the shores of Lake Wolfgang and Hallstatt or visit the birthplace of the mother of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was born in St Gilgen and was often visited by her son.

Itinerary

The cable car to the top of mount Zwölferhorn is the highlight of St Gilgen. Enjoy the ride up to 1,522 meters above sea level to get to the top of the mountain and enjoy not only the view of Sankt Gilgen and lake Wolfgang, but also the Lake District into upper Austria, and the Dachstein mountain range near Hallstatt. The stop is for 2 hours. The rest of the time is for transportation.

Walk around the streets in the Old Town of Hallstatt to see the local day-to-day life and incredible views of the buildings, the lake and the alps. While you wander around, don’t miss the chance to get some local coffee and a pastry, and then take that photo with fantastic views. The stop is for 2 hours.
