Itinerary

Enjoy the scenic drive from Porto to Braga, the religious and cultural capital of northern Portugal.

Begin your visit by ascending the grand staircase or taking the funicular to the Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary, an impressive pilgrimage site with stunning Baroque architecture and beautiful gardens. After descending from Bom Jesus do Monte, visit Braga Cathedral (Se de Braga), one of the oldest cathedrals in Portugal. Admire its Romanesque and Gothic architecture and explore the interior.

Continue your journey to Guimarães, often referred to as the "birthplace of Portugal" due to its historical significance and also a a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved medieval architecture. Explore Guimaraes Castle, an iconic medieval fortress with panoramic views of the city.

Depart from Guimarães in the late afternoon, reflecting on your day's adventures and relaxing as our driver takes you back to Porto.
