Full description

Costa Azul has long been one of the most important surfing areas in Los Cabos due to its exposure to swells that travel across the Pacific before reaching the Sea of Cortez. These conditions create waves that attract surfers throughout much of the year and make the beach an ideal location for learning fundamental surf skills. Beyond standing on a board, surfing teaches participants how to read wave patterns, understand ocean movement, and develop awareness of changing conditions. Learning in this environment provides a deeper appreciation of the relationship between the coastline, the ocean, and Baja California Sur's surf culture.

Itinerary

Costa Azul Beach. Meet your certified surf instructor at Costa Azul Beach, one of Los Cabos' most iconic surfing destinations. After check-in, receive your surfboard and equipment before participating in a safety briefing that covers ocean conditions, surf etiquette, paddling techniques, and how to safely enter and exit the water.

Beach Training Session. Before entering the ocean, practice the fundamentals of surfing on the sand. Your instructor will teach proper paddling position, the pop-up technique, balance, stance, wave selection, and essential safety tips to help build confidence before catching your first waves.

Guided Surf Lesson. Head into the water for a fully guided surf lesson tailored to your experience level. Your instructor will provide personalized coaching, help position you for the best waves, and offer continuous feedback to improve your technique while maximizing your time in the water.

Beach Relaxation & Refreshments. After your lesson, relax on the beach while enjoying bottled water and light snacks. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available as you unwind, review your experience with your instructor, and take in the beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez before returning to your hotel or meeting point.
