Sicilian Cooking class from Taormina. At 10:00 am appointment with the chef directly to the Restaurant Porta Messina (next to the anciente Entrance of Taormina) for a little coffee break. The tour will begin at the Taormina market with the explanation of the displayed products and how they can be handled. No market on Sunday. After the explanation, we buy the ingredients that we need for the lesson. After reaching the restaurant, you will find an already prepared table with all the tools on and you will be equipped with an apron. We will start making home-made pasta with a very traditional method. With the help of the chef you will prepare traditional Sicilian dishes such as "pasta alla norma", sardines "a baccaficu", "caponata" and more. The menu is subject to change.Once finished cooking, all participants will sit at a table for tasting the prepared dishes and different Sicilian wines and liquors. Mineral water and coffee included, of course.
