Full description

A Pub Trail is a scavenger hunt through Groningen, combined with short pub games in cafés that you choose yourselves. For friends, colleagues and families who want to explore the city without feeling like tourists.

You walk together through the city, complete challenges, and play games in the cafés. The group stays together, and the player with the most points wins a prize. Pub Trail Groningen is an activity, not a traditional pub crawl.

You choose the cafés yourselves: no fixed bars, no set routes. This gives you the freedom to choose the cafés you want to visit.

Pub Trail Groningen is an active and playful experience, much more fun than a standard walking tour.

Itinerary

The Martinitoren, standing on the Grote Markt, is the highest tower in the city of Groningen at 96.8 meters.

Groningen Station, known locally as Hoofdstation, is the main railway station in the city of Groningen.

The stock exchange, with its striking neoclassical facade, was built between 1862 and 1865, replacing two smaller stock exchange buildings.

The current building, designed by architect Jacob Otten Husly in the Dutch classicist, neoclassical architectural style, stands on the site of a town hall since the thirteenth century.

The building complex is located on the east side of the Martinikerkhof in the heart of the city of Groningen.

The Jacob and Annagasthuis was founded in 1495 by Jacob Grovens and his wife Eteke Sluchtinge.

It was in use from 1906 to 1942 and has been rededicated to worship since 1981. However, the prayer room has been reduced in size and space has been created for a museum section.

The Peerd van Ome Loeks can be seen as one of the symbols of the Dutch city of Groningen. The image derives its existence from a Groningen folk tune with the same title.

The Nieuwe Kerk, also called Noorderkerk in the 18th century, is a Protestant church in the city of Groningen, located on the Nieuwe Kerkhof in the Hortusbuurt.

The guest house was founded in 1517 and was partly built with stones from the demolished Edzard Castle across the road.
