We begin this unique journey next to the Pyramid where you will meet your expert guide in the morning or early afternoon and board a vintage 1972 Piaggio Ape Calessino. Some know it as the Italian tuk tuk.

Our tour will cover the Aurelian walls towards the Baths of Caracalla. Your professional guide will tell you his story. We will visit one of the oldest churches in Rome, the church of Santo Stefano Rotondo.

During the tour, you will have the chance to see the curious church of Domine Quo Vadis, delve into the history of the miraculous encounter between Christ and St. Peter. We will stop in the oldest part of the Appian Way for a walk.

A TRUE TASTE OF ROME

Now our fun part starts! Our first stop is with Jacopo a true master of cheese and ham. We will sit and enjoy the salty flavours.
Our second stop will be at the famous Nero Vaniglia where you get to taste 3 pastries, freshly hand made accompanied with the best coffee or cappuccino.

Our tour ends at the metro of Piramide

Itinerary

Piramid of Rome. We start our journey right here, at one of Rome's most unexpected landmarks — a genuine ancient pyramid, over 2,000 years old, sitting quietly in the middle of the city. The perfect opener to a day full of surprises.

Thermal baths of Caracalla. We'll pass by the enormous ruins of the Baths of Caracalla. As we roll past, we'll tell you all about how these massive walls once housed one of the ancient world's most impressive public complexes. Hard to believe this is just a drive-by.

Entrance gate of Rome porta San Sebastiano. We stop at one of the oldest and best-preserved gates of ancient Rome. This is the moment we leave the modern city behind and step into the world of the Appian Way — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — just ahead.

First Mile Stone pillar of Rome. A small but significant stop. We'll show you the very first milestone of the ancient Appian Way — the stone that once marked the official start of Rome's most important road. A quiet spot with a big story.

Quo Vadis historical point. We stop at the famous point where, according to early Christian tradition, Peter encountered a vision of Jesus on this very road. We'll share the story behind this legendary moment — one of the most powerful along the entire route.

Catacombes of San Calisto. We visit the outside of one of the most historically significant underground sites in the ancient world. We'll walk you through what lies beneath and why this place matters so deeply to the history of early Christianity.

Villa of Massenzio. We pause to admire the ruins of the Villa of Massenzio stretching along the road — a vast complex that once included a palace, a circus, and a mausoleum. We'll bring it to life with a bit of the story behind the man who built it all.

Via Appia Antica the Unesco World heritage site. This is the heart of the tour. We step out and take a proper stroll along the original paving stones of the most ancient road in the Roman Empire. Pine trees, tombs, open countryside — this is the Rome most visitors never get to see.

Garbatella. We arrive in one of Rome's most authentic and characterful neighbourhoods. No tourists, no souvenir shops — just real Roman life. We'll take you through its charming streets and tell you why locals are so proud of this corner of the city.We will arrive at one of the most characteristic authentic neighbourhoods of Rome the Garbatella district

Food stop for local cheese and cutlery. Time to eat. We stop at a genuine local spot where you'll taste some of the best the region has to offer — aged cheeses, cured meats, and fresh focaccia. Simple, honest, delicious. Exactly how Romans like it.

Time for sweets and coffee. We stop at one of Rome's finest pastry shops for a well-earned break. You'll enjoy three freshly made sweet bites paired with an espresso or cappuccino — and watch the team prepare everything right in front of you.We will make a stop at one of the finest pasticerie (homemade sweet) of Rome where you will get a choice of 3 small sweet bites with a coffee of cappuccino. While you enjoy this you can see them prepare the fresh delicatesse.

Eataly. We finish with a visit to the famous Eataly — a celebration of the very best Italian food and produce under one roof. Browse, taste, and pick up something special to bring home.

Piramide end of the tour. We finish our day back at the pyramid — the same spot where it all began a few hours ago. A lot of road covered, a lot of stories shared. We hope you leave with a different view of Rome than the one you arrived with. The tour will end where we started
