Don’t forget

Not wheelchair accessible Not stroller accessible Not suitable for pets No public transportation nearby Infants must not sit on laps Infant seats unavailable Not recommended for people with back problems Not recommended for pregnant travelers Not recommended for people with heart conditions We offer pick up and drop off service from Kathmandu international airport This list is tailored to the specific itinerary, which includes exploring dusty heritage sites, doing a light hike, and catching the chilly sunrise at Nagarkot. Clothing (Layers & Cultural Respect) Warm Layers for Nagarkot: Nagarkot sits at an altitude of around 2,100 meters, and the early morning sunrise viewing is freezing cold. Travelers must bring a fleece, a lightweight down jacket, or a windbreaker to layer up. Modest Attire: The itinerary includes several sacred Hindu and Buddhist sites like Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Travelers should bring clothing that covers both shoulders and knees (long pants, maxi skirts, or scarves to wrap around). Slip-On Walking Shoes: Shoes must be removed frequently when entering temple shrines. Comfortable, broken-in sneakers or light hiking shoes are highly recommended for the Changu Narayan hike and walking on uneven stone pavements. Note on Swimwear: A swimsuit is not a priority for this trip, as the itinerary focuses entirely on cultural sightseeing and hiking. Unless they plan to use a pool at their specific hotel (like Hotel Vaishali) during down time, they can leave it behind. Sun & Dust Protection Sunscreen, Sunglasses, and a Hat: Kathmandu's high altitude means the sun and UV rays are incredibly strong, even when it feels cool. Face Mask or Neck Gaiter: Kathmandu and the surrounding valley can be very dusty due to unpaved roads and traffic. A mask is incredibly useful to protect the throat during road transfers. Daily Essentials for Sightseeing Hand Sanitizer & Wet Wipes: Highly recommended for quick clean-ups before enjoying the included welcome dinner or local snacks, as public handwashing stations are rare. Reusable Water Bottle: Essential for staying hydrated during the 4-hour hike to Changu Narayan and long days of walking. Power Bank: Travelers will be taking lots of photos of the stunning UNESCO sites and the Himalayan sunrise, which drains phone batteries quickly.
