Full description

An unmissable opportunity to discover the history, culture, and tradition of Cervia through the MUSA - Museum of Salt. This extraordinary ethnographic museum, created thanks to the Gruppo Culturale Civiltà Salinara, celebrates the millennia-old tradition of salt production, telling the story of the work in the salt pans and preserving the memory of techniques and trades that have long been forgotten. Inside the museum, documents, tools, photographs, and testimonies reveal the fascinating world of salt production, a vital element for the city of Cervia. The MUSA is located within the Torre Salt Warehouse, a magnificent example of industrial archaeology, which once housed the 'white gold.' This majestic building is a symbol of the city’s history and its relationship with the sea and the salt pans, now preserved and enhanced as a cultural heritage.

The museum is open from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM every day. After exploring the museum, the experience continues with a typical aperitif offered by "Officine del Sale," the third of the Salt Warehouses, which was once used for salt storage and later transformed into a jute sack factory. The building, beautifully restored, represents an excellent example of architectural regeneration, blending traditional materials and modern structures to create a versatile and functional space.

During the aperitif, you will have the opportunity to taste exclusively local, genuine products linked to the gastronomic tradition of Cervia. The highlight of the experience is the "Bandito" Gin, a unique spirit made with alcohol, essential oils, and carefully selected raw materials, skillfully blended and enriched with Salfiore di Romagna, the precious salt from the Cervia salt pans. An experience that combines culture, tradition, and taste in a unique and captivating atmosphere.
