Start your day with an early pick-up from your Mindelo accommodation and transfer to the harbor for a scenic 1-hour ferry ride to Santo Antão. Keep an eye out for dolphins or flying fish along the way! Upon arrival in Porto Novo, meet your local guide and begin your full-day island tour. Travel the stunning Old Mountain Road to the volcanic crater of Cova de Paúl and enjoy breathtaking views from Delgadinho Ridge. Visit picturesque towns and villages like Ribeira Grande, Ponta do Sol, Sinagoga, and Paúl. Enjoy a traditional Cape Verdean lunch at a local restaurant, then stop at a distillery to learn about Grogue, the local sugarcane spirit. São Vicente:Getting Around:Most of our travel will be by vehicle, but we’ll also enjoy a short city walk (around 1 hour) to stretch our legs and explore a bit more up close.Monte Verde Summit:We’ll be traveling up to the summit of Monte Verde, so please be aware this area is at high altitude.Beach Stop – Baía das Gatas:We’ll make a stop at this beautiful beach! If you’d like to swim, please wear your bathing suit under your clothes and bring a towel, as there are no changing facilities at the beach.What to Bring:Comfortable clothing and shoes, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), and a bottle of water to stay refreshed.Lunch (not included):We’ll stop for lunch between 12:30–13:30 at a lovely local restaurant.
