Full description

Discover the majesty of Ridracoli Dam, an engineering marvel nestled in the heart of the Casentinesi Forests National Park, where nature and technology coexist in harmony. Surrounded by ancient woods, rolling hills and emerald waters, the dam offers stunning views and a unique experience: walk along its arch, admire the landscape from above, or simply enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

By visiting the IDRO Ecomuseum - a modern and interactive space - you will be told the story of water, from the hidden springs in the park to its distribution to homes. Through multimedia installations, experiments, games and biodiversity exhibits, visitors of all ages can understand the importance of preserving this precious resource and discover the ingenuity and dedication behind managing a reservoir.

For a slower and more immersive experience, do not miss a boat tour to discover the Casentinesi Forests National Park from a different perspective. On an electric boat, you’ll glide past breathtaking views, explore otherwise inaccessible areas and hear fascinating stories about the dam’s construction and the valley submerged beneath the reservoir.
