Dear Guests, this excursion of one day has been designed for all those who wish to visit and discover the vineyards of Rome and its outstanding countryside, and experience interesting and delightful wine tastings in two of the most beautiful local wineries.
So, you will be driven around the fascinating countryside of Rome and stop in two of the villages located in the so-called Roman Castles area!
But what's the Castelli Romani or Roman Castles area?
The area of Castelli Romani indicates the entire geographical area located south-east of the city of Rome, around the Colli Albani, made up of a group of villages and towns, in part of the territory of Latium Vetus, Ancient Lazio region, surrounded by the roman countryside. The tour is conducted by an English-speaking driver, born and residing in the region of Rome and with an in-depth knowledge of history and features of the territory, ready to help you with the local language, advised and informed about local food, shopping and more.

Itinerary

Appian Way. From Rome, the way that leads to the Roman castle countryside, so-called the southern area of Rome, is the famous Appian way, commonly called by the ancient Romans the queen of the roads due to its importance and fame. Nowadays is well known for being the spot of famous Christian catacombs, primitive cemeteries.

Winery. A very good and historical winery, a beautiful place where to taste the local wines, Frascati wines. If overbooked we take customers to Santa Benedetta winery. The wine tasting is included in the tour fee.

Frascati. A nice village well know for being one of the most famous white wine producer, the Frascati trademark.

Castel Gandolfo and Pope' s summer residence. A beautiful medieval town wich overlooks a wonderful lake of vulcanic origins and meeting place of counless people from all over the world thank to the presence of the Pontifical palace.
