The village of Casertavecchia is a destination of tourist interest because of the Duomo, the bell tower, the remains of the castle and the streets of the entire village which recall the splendor of the past. The remarkable panorama that can be used in many points of the village, the summer coolness and the numerous clubs and pizzerias mean that the inhabitants of the surroundings often spend the Saturday evening in the streets of the village for 2 hours. After visiting the village, you will reach the silk museum. suggested an authorized internal guide to know in detail the history of this fantastic Monumental complex 1h. After the visit of the museum we will reach the winery where you will be received with a warm welcome, the winery is famous for different local culinary typologies. You will find a careful selection of local wines to taste without limit of quantity. Lunch (all inclusive) with digestives that you will enjoy down in the special cantinola. Lunch is not included in the tour price.

Itinerary

Casertavecchia is a medieval village that rises on the slopes of the Tifatini mountains at an altitude of 401 meters and 10 km from Caserta (in the north-east direction), although the distance as the crow flies is only 4 km. In medieval times it constituted the center of Caserta; since 1960 it is among the Italian national monuments.

Located in the Belvedere of San Leucio, it preserves the ancient machinery of the eighteenth century for the production of silk that has become famous throughout the world.
