This tour to Knossos Palace and Lasithi Plateau is a small group tour and you'll have time to explore the region of Lasithi Plateau and Knossos Palace at your own pace.

A tour to the Lasithi Plateau promises an unforgettable experience, blending history, nature, and culture in one of Crete's most enchanting regions.

As you ascend towards the plateau, you'll pass through 16 picturesque villages nestled in the mountains. These villages offer a glimpse into traditional Cretan life, with stone houses, narrow streets, and locals going about their daily routines.

Join us on a journey back in time as we explore the Plateau and quaint villages that have preserved their authenticity and way of life.
This itinerary provides a comprehensive overview of what the Lasithi Plateau has to offer, from its natural beauty to its rich cultural heritage.

Itinerary

Our first stop is at the 4th generation Olive Oil Mill in Malia town to learn about the olive oil making and taste different extra olive oil of their production.

Next, we'll visit Krasi village and the 2400 years old Platanus tree.

Time to explore old windmills of Lasithi and to learn the significance for the locals. Entering Lasithi Plateau, you'll meet 26 stone mills dating back to the 1800s, operated until the end of WWII.

Pass by without stopping

Here you can visit Zeus Cave with fantastic stalactites and stalagmites, where according to the mythology, the father of the Greek ancient Gods, Zeus, was born.

Time to enjoy Greek coffee in a traditional (Kaffeneio) Cafe, combined with Cretan raki.

As we drive and explore the traditional villages of Lasithi Plateau, the driver guide will give you information and facts about the history and tradition of the area. Here, in this village, we'll pick up and enjoy some fresh strawberries from our garden.

Next stop is in this village to learn about our diary products that we produce in Lasithi Plateau and will taste a Cretan yoghourt with honey.
