"Start of the Tour of Terragona, a surprising city where you can discover an ancient civilization. Have dinner under the vaults of the Roman circus, get lost in the alleys of the old town where the essence of the medieval city is preserved intact or make a vermouth immersed in more 2,000 years of history.

We pass by the Balcony of the Mediterranean, a viewpoint with a fabulous view of the Amphitheater of Tarragona and the Miracle platform.

We will visit The Roman Circus of Tarragona, it was the building for horse and car racing and was located between the Via Augusta and the Provincial Forum.

We will know the Cathedral of Tarragona, where the collections of medieval and modern era religious art from Tarragona and its diocese stand out; altarpieces, sculptures of stone or carved in wood, goldsmith, forge, textile, ceramics, etc.

We will take an Archaeological Walk and finish at El Portal de San Antonio

Itinerary

Walking tour of the most emblematic places of this beautiful city that uniquely blends past and present.

Romanesque construction of the second century and that was built by digging the rock.

We will enter the historic center of Tarragona. We will cross the Via Augusta, to reach the Roman Circus of Tarragona, built in the first century. From there the views are fascinating.

We will now go to La Plaça de la Font, a long square that was previously the arena of the Circus.

We will observe the model of the medieval city, as well as travel the 90 meters of vaults that supported the stands of the circus.

We will now visit Plaça del Rei, in the old town of Tarragona. The terraces in this square offer a unique gastronomic experience. We will stop for lunch.

We arrived at the Cathedral of Tarragona, located in the ruins of a huge Roman temple. This construction started in the twelfth century was consecrated until two centuries later, and reveals an interesting transition of styles between Roman and Gothic. To end the afternoon we will do the Archaeological Walk, a pedestrian walk of a kilometer parallel to the old walls of the second century.

We will finish our tour in El Portal de San Antonio, the largest of the gates of the wall of Tarragona that is still preserved.
