Snow Abu Dhabi at Reem Mall is the largest snow park in the region, and the appeal is the sheer contrast: real snow, sub-zero air and a full winter village, in the middle of the Gulf. It is built as a themed snow-covered town rather than a single slope, so there is a great deal more to do than ski. You can toboggan, ride the snow slides, wander the village streets, take on the snowball battle arena and simply spend time somewhere genuinely cold. The snow-making technology runs continuously, so conditions stay consistent from opening to close rather than degrading through the day. It works particularly well for families spanning a wide age range, because the gentle areas and the faster rides sit side by side. Allow around three hours, and dress in layers you can add to - it is properly cold inside.
