Tenryuji Zen Buddhist temple dates from the 14th century. He is a witness to the history of Japan. We begin our visit with this temple. Then we sink into the beautiful bamboo grove of Arashiyama. We are impressed by its giant bamboos!

Itinerary
Tenryuji Temple. Tenryuji, Zen Rinzai Buddhist temple, was built in the 14th century and is a piece in the confrontation between the Shogun and the Emperor. Visiting it, we will know better about Japanese history.
Arashiyama Bamboo grove. We will walk through the famous bamboo forest, then park, forest and promenade near Katsura river to arrive to Sagano, old town of Kyoto.
Arashiyama Park, Kameyama Area. After the bamboo grove, we walk in this park full of nature and we reach the river Katsura.
Katsura River. We walk on this river promenade, full of nature and greeneries.
Sagano-Arashiyama Old Town. We take a small walk through this so beautiful old touristic city and we go back to our starting point.
