Hunting the northern lights on the North Atlantic ocean is an amazing experience. Sailing away from the coastline of Reykjavik and seeing the Aurora Borealis out on the ocean with beautiful mountains and the city in the background is something to remember.

Itinerary

Meet at the Harbor. Arrive at Reykjavík’s Old Harbour 30 minutes before departure. Check in, meet your expert guide, and receive a short safety briefing.

Boarding & Departure. Step aboard a comfortable, stable boat equipped for Northern Lights viewing. Sail out into the North Atlantic, leaving the city lights behind for a clearer view of the sky.

Searching for the Aurora Borealis. Admire the twinkling lights of Reykjavík from the water. If the aurora appears, enjoy a spectacular light show with the city skyline and mountains as a backdrop.

Return to the Harbor. After 1.5–2 hours at sea, sail back to Reykjavík’s Old Harbour.
