Explore the magical Piazza del Campo, take in the atmosphere of San Gimignano, and marvel at the beauty of the Tower of Pisa. A great chance to spend a wonderful weekend with a group of up to eight people. Siena is one of the most beautiful and exciting places in Italy. It is a mysterious medieval city hidden in the hills of Tuscany that feels untouched by time. In 1995, the whole Old Town was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites because it is a complete set of medieval buildings. The main attractions are Piazza del Campo, the nearby Palazzo Pubblico, and the Cathedral of Siena, which stands out from the general color scheme with its white and black facade — the colors of Siena's heraldic shield.
Despite its small size, the Tuscan town of San Gimignano is one of the leading Italian tourist destinations each year, and it receives about 2 million guests. San Gimignano is known as "the Medieval Manhattan" because of its unique look, which resembles the outline of New York City from a distance. It is all about the fourteen tall stone towers, the "skyscrapers of the Middle Ages," which make San Gimignano the most expressive of all the medieval cities of Tuscany. At the end of the tour, after visiting the Tower of Pisa, you will be taken to a winery in the Chianti area, where you can taste the local wines. At the end of the tasting, you will return to Florence.
