Our friendly guide will meet you at your hotel and, by metro, head to Vyehrad, the oldest seat of Czech princes dating back to the mid-tenth century. It is on a rocky peninsula above the Vltava River and has beautiful views of the city and architectural gems that are hard to find. Local mythology maintains that Vyehrad was the site of the first settlement that became Prague, though this claim has yet to be proven. According to legend, Duke Krok founded Vyehrad while looking for a safer seat than at Bude. He had a forest cut down and a castle built on a rocky cliff above the Vltava river.
Aside from the attractions, Prague is bustling with bars and pubs, beer gardens, wine shops, and cocktail bars, all pouring the Czech Republic's famous lager beers. On this tour, we will visit a popular pub with a stunning view of Prague, take a break, taste six local beers, and then continue to the Vltava River for additional drinks and fun!
