You will be picked up in Yerevan and taken to see Armenia's pearl, the beautiful Sevan, the country's largest lake. Aside from admiring the endless beauty, you can have fun climbing the stairs to Sevanavank monastery on the peninsula of Lake Sevan, founded in 305 by Gregory the Illuminator. According to excavations, this location was inhabited during the Stone and Bronze Ages. The remaining structures are currently being restored and are open to the public for viewing. Sevanavank is one of Armenia's most well-known historical and cultural sites.

The next stop will be Dilijan, the "Armenian Switzerland." After passing through the tunnel, you will find yourself in a completely different world, full of nature and fresh air. Dilijan is also a well-known resort town. Because of the dense mountain forests that surround the city, the air is crystal clear. Dilijan is an important cultural center in the country, and it's encircled by the lush depths of the national park.

Your guide will tell you all about the city before taking you to Haghartsin monastery, located among the mountain forests of Tavush province, about 18 kilometers from Dilijan. It was founded in the 10th and 11th centuries, with new buildings added in the 12th and 13th centuries. A massive oak tree grows near Haghartsin, almost as old as the monastery, completing this fantastic scene. Your driver/guide will return you to Yerevan at the end of the tour.
