What you’ll do

After an early-morning pickup from your Hurghada hotel entrance, you’ll travel south toward Luxor, passing Upper Egyptian villages along the way. You’ll spend the day exploring the major highlights on both sides of the Nile with your guide, then begin the drive back toward Hurghada after the program finishes around 17:00 in Luxor.

Karnak Temple

Start at Karnak Temple, one of the world’s great temple complexes. Walk the huge entrance area, see the avenue of ram‑headed sphinxes, and step into the Hypostyle Hall with its towering columns. You’ll also see the sacred lake and surrounding chapels. Near the lake, your guide can point out the famous scarab that many visitors circle as a local legend.

Valley of the Kings

After lunch, visit the Valley of the Kings and go down into three royal tombs to see the remarkably preserved wall paintings and hieroglyphs.

Colossi of Memnon

Stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon, the two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that once guarded a vast mortuary temple.

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

Finish at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known for its grand terraces, colonnades, and detailed reliefs. Afterward, you’ll have an opportunity to stop at a local perfume and papyrus workshop for browsing and souvenirs.

Return

The sightseeing program in Luxor finishes around 16:00, then you’ll start the drive back toward Hurghada.
