After crossing the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina, Medjugorje is just about twenty minutes away, surrounded by the peaceful Herzegovinian countryside.

Afterward, we continue by van to the base of Apparition Hill (Podbrdo), followed by a short walk of about fifteen minutes to the place where the Virgin Mary is believed to have first appeared. Dubrovnik to Medjugorje Full Day Tour Experience
This thoughtfully curated day tour from Dubrovnik offers a slower, more meaningful alternative to high-energy Dubrovnik excursions focused on the old town, city walls, and cable car viewpoints. With a professional tour guide, you get to Medjugorje through southern Croatia, following scenic inland routes rather than the Adriatic Sea coastline alone. The experience blends cultural discovery, spiritual reflection, and regional history, guiding visitors through pilgrimage landmarks such as St. James Church and the slopes near Apparition Hill. Compared to a walking tour of the old town or a game of thrones tour exploring famous filming locations, this journey feels grounded and contemplative, very much a case of less is more, offering depth over spectacle.
