Classic Whales & Viking Horses

Start your day with a complimentary pickup at your accommodation around 9:30. The adventure starts with a small-group horse riding tour, where you'll get to know the unique Icelandic horse while exploring stunning landscapes. After a short riding lesson, ride through the forest at Hólmsheiði hill and past the striking lava formations of Rauðhólar. The total riding time is around 1-1,5 hrs. and ends at the stables with a warm drink before Viking Horses drops you off at Reykjavík’s Old Harbour for the next part of your journey.

Set sail into Faxaflói bay in the early afternoon, with our expert crew and marine biologist guides. Under the guidance of passionate naturalists, discover the incredible whales of Reykjavík, from humpbacks and minke whales to white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. The bay is also teeming with birdlife, including puffins, northern gannets, and arctic terns. After the tour you can make your own way into the city for a lovely afternoon in town, or you can request a drop off back to your hotel (additional fee).
