Rides in Belek

Rides out of Belek are built around two machines: the quad and the buggy. The difference is not the route but the way you sit. A quad takes one rider or two, straddled, and every bump comes through; a buggy is enclosed, with a roll cage and belts, built for two, and suits anyone who would rather not balance the machine themselves. Neither requires a licence.

The route in both cases heads into the Taurus foothills: dirt tracks, forest cuttings, fords across streams. A standard outing runs about two hours, of which the driving itself takes a little over one — the rest goes on the briefing, the drive from the hotel and a stop at a viewpoint. Dust and mud here are not a side effect but part of the format, and the operators do not hide it.

Points to note. Wear clothes you will not mind ruining and closed shoes — sandals do not stay on the pedals. Helmet and goggles are handed out on site, though your own eyewear is more comfortable. Age limits differ between operators: driving a quad usually starts at eighteen and riding as a passenger at seven, so confirm at booking. The season runs from April to October, and after rain some routes are closed.
