Taste of Istanbul Old City Food Tour

Experience the true vibe of the city by joining us on an Istanbul food tour that explores the captivating historical sights around the old city while tasting traditional mouth-watering delicacies.

The day will start in front of epic Spice Bazaar at 09:30 AM and the first experience will be a unique Turkish pide cooked in an old oven located in a historical building which was built in 1888.

Before having a truly local meal; beans and rice followed by a unique pumpkin dessert with walnut and tahini, get ready for a fabulous view at magical Suleymaniye mosque. This picturesque mosque was constructed in 16th century during the most powerful time of Ottoman Empire.

The next stop of the Istanbul food tour will be the incomparable Grand Bazaar. It is one of the largest and oldest covered markets on earth and hosts more than 4000 stores in total. You will get amazed while watching the people in the bustling streets of Grand Bazaar.

Exploring the Bazaar as real locals do, we will discover the best type of kebabs that are cooked at the moment just for us in the little hidden restaurants inside and around the Bazaar.

Turkish coffee is always best after a perfect meal during Istanbul food tour. So after leaving Grand Bazaar we will have aTurkish coffee tasting just next to an old madrasah. Then we will have ourdoner kebabs in a 50-year-old food stall. That may be the best one in town!

Before heading to the cozy streets of the city, we will walk along the marvelous landmarks of the city: Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

Just before ending the lovely Istanbul food tour in the old city, it’s time to indulge ourselves with the famous Turkish dessert - Baklava!
