Sorrento to Positano Cycling Adventure

This cycling tour feels like a classic Italy cycling tour with an easy spirit and a bold edge. You start in Sorrento and bike along the coast where sharp turns open into bright valleys and tiny villages that smell like lemon trees. A tour guide from the Italian Cycling Federation helps you get to every viewpoint while you ride a carbon bike or an e-bike. The climb near the chapel of Madonna del Lauro adds just enough challenge to make the trip feel like a real cycling vacation. The downhill ride toward the Amalfi Coast brings a coast panorama that hits you with that pinch me feeling and before you know it, Positano appears like a movie set.

Tips Before You Ride

Before you get to the park roads and small streets, keep a few things in mind

• Bring light layers and comfortable cycling shoes
• Expect a moderate incline and short intense sections
• Morning hours bring the clearest views
• Keep water within reach, the sun can be stronger than expected

These small tips help make the experience smoother and more fun.

More Facts About This Experience

The Amalfi Coast has appeared in Hollywood films like Under the Tuscan Sun and even inspired set design for scenes in Only You. Positano often attracts musicians who come for quiet writing retreats and the Florence creative crowd arrives every spring. The region holds Mediterranean scrub, wild fennel and bright bougainvillea. Bikes glide past tiny stone houses once used by local shepherds. Sorrento itself appears in classic Italian pop songs which adds a familiar echo when you get to each overlook.
