Itinerary

Pick-up and drive to the Setubal Wine Region. On this full-day tour, you will travel first to Azeitão, an area that is well known for its wines and cheese. On the way there, we will pass Lisbon´s old bridge, our "Golden Gate". Reaching the Setúbal Wine Region, you will visit some of the region’s top wine cellars and taste fine wines and other produces.
José Maria da Fonseca WInery. José      Maria da Fonseca: Step inside Portugal’s oldest family-owned      winery, where seven generations have perfected their craft since 1834.      Discover their fascinating history and sample their celebrated wines.
Quinta de Alcube family. · Quinta de Alcube: Experience the rustic charm of this century-old estate (since 1913), where tradition and passion shape every bottle. Here you can discover a “agricultural side” of winemaking.
Casa Assis Lobo. · Assis Lobo: This family-owned winery is nestled in one of the region’s charming villages. As one of the smallest wineries in the region, it offers a rare, intimate glimpse into how winemaking traditions have evolved over time, giving you a sense of both the region’s roots and its vibrant presence.
Casa Mãe de Palmela. · Setúbal Regional’s “Mother House”:Explore a unique cellar uniting 24 local wineries under one roof, offering a true taste of the region’s diversity.
Palmela. In addition to all the tastings, you will marvel at the views of the Arrábida Natural Park, mountain range and its history.

Your Day, Your Way: Choose between two enticing options:

  1. Three      Wineries & Tastings: Visit three handpicked      wineries, sampling up to 10 wines, and enjoy a selection of traditional      local cheese, chorizo, and bread.
  2. Two      Wineries & Gourmet Lunch: Enjoy tastings at two local      wine cellars, followed by a leisurely, multi-course lunch featuring      regional specialties (available most days except Mondays).

We will first travel to Azeitão, an area well known for its wines and cheese. You will visit some of the Setúbal Region wine cellars, tasting their wines and other produces, getting a full overview of the region´s wine production methods and styles.

*Note: That our choice of wineries for the day will depend on their availabilities and weather conditions (as some are more outdoors). Also, we do not offer the option for our travellers to make the winery choices to visit.
