Transportation (seasonal)

Access to Kamikochi depends on the season and road/operation conditions. We may travel by public transportation (bus) and/or use a company vehicle for part of the journey. Any transportation fees included in your booking are shown in the “Included” section.

Walking level & what to bring

• Please wear hiking shoes or sturdy walking shoes

• Recommended: layers (temperature changes quickly), rain jacket, water

Winter operation (important)

Kamikochi’s regular sightseeing season is roughly mid-April to mid-November, and during the closed season buses do not operate inside Kamikochi.

We can operate a winter version of this experience, but conditions may be more demanding (cold temperatures, snow/ice, limited facilities) and access/route may differ.
