Tromsø: Snowshoe Hike with Local Guides

Pick-Up. Your guide will meet you outside the main entrance of Scandic The Dock in Tromsø. Please be ready a few minutes before departure so we can start the adventure on time.

30 minute drive to the mountain. Enjoy a 30-minute scenic drive from Tromsø as we head into the mountains. Along the way, your guide will share local stories and insights from the region.

Snowshoe hiking. Once we arrive, your guide will provide all the necessary snowshoe equipment and show you how to use it. We’ll then set off on a guided hike through the Arctic landscape at a moderate pace, always adjusted to fit the group. Along the way we take breaks to enjoy the views, share stories about the area, and keep an eye out for Arctic wildlife such as reindeer, eagles, or hares. About halfway, we stop for a light lunch and something warm to drink before continuing our journey. In total, we spend around 2.5–3 hours in the mountains, giving you plenty of time to take in the scenery and enjoy the adventure.

30 minute return to Tromsø. After the hike, we’ll enjoy a relaxing 30-minute drive back to Tromsø. Take in the last views of the Arctic landscape as we return to the city.

Drop-Off. Back in Tromsø, your guide will make sure everyone is safely dropped off and share any last tips or recommendations for your stay. We’ll answer questions, exchange smiles, and say our farewell after a memorable day together.
