Entertainment in Peru in 2026: Concerts, Shows, and Nights Out

Peru's entertainment culture has a living performance tradition that reaches back thousands of years and continues to evolve. The Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) ceremony at the Sacsayhuamán fortress in Cusco on June 24th — a recreation of the Inca solstice festival with costumed performers and dramatic staging in the ruins of an Inca ceremonial complex — is South America's most visually spectacular cultural performance event. Marinera, the Peruvian national dance performed in competition at the Trujillo Marinera Festival each January, is a courtship dance of extraordinary elegance specific to this country. The Lima Jazz Festival, the Primavera en el Parque outdoor concert series, and the Gran Teatro Nacional's programme add the contemporary and classical entertainment registers. The Mistura food festival in Lima extends the concept of entertainment into the culinary.
