Itinerary

Knossos Palace. The palace was first built during the Neolithic period, but it saw its greatest expansion during the Minoan period. Knossos was the largest and most important palace of the Minoan civilization.
Heraklion Archaeological Museum. The Heraklion Archaeological Museum is regarded as one of Europe’s most important museums hosting unique samples of Cretan archaeology. The museum brings together archaeological finds from all over Crete, covering over 5500 years of the island’s history
Heraklion City. Heraklion is the capital of Crete and one of the Mediterranean region's most fascinating and vibrant cities. It is full of places to discover.
Venetian Port. The construction project started with the purpose of reinforcing the pre-existing Arabic and Byzantine fortifications but under the threat of a war, a total reconstruction started to seem necessary.
Koules Fortress. Koules Fortress is the symbol of Heraklion Town. It stands at the entrance of the port and dominates over the lovely Venetian harbor. The fortress was originally built by the Venetians in the 13th century but then it underwent many transformations by the Ottomans, who ruled Crete till the late 19th century.
Agios Titos. The church of Agios Titos was originally constructed in the 10th century by the Byzantines. Later on, it was renovated by the Venetians and when Crete was conquered by the Ottomans, it was turned into a mosque. This is where the skull of Saint Titus is guarded.
