Itinerary

The Bratislava Castle is on a site that has been fortified for thousands of years. It’s a defendable stronghold and great lookout between the Alps and Carpathians since the 16th. century, when it had its apogee. No, after war damage and reconstruction, it’s a landmark to see because of what it represents more than its architecture. From the terrace you can see over the Danube and across the borders into Austria and Hungary, while the interior has exhibitions for the National Museum.

This complex of 1,441 rooms built in the 1600s has become the main tourist attraction in Vienna. The Habsburgs have held residence here for many years and emperors of Austria were born in the palace too. The palace itself is an immense building designed in a Baroque style with a symmetrical main building that has hundreds of windows and statues on the rooftop. On the inside, there are fully decorated rooms respecting the original style that you can see on a tour, as well as getting an idea of how the Austrian royalty lived.
