Spend an unforgettable day “one step from the sky,” immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of the Apuan Alps and their legendary marble quarries.

Your local expert driver and certified environmental guide will pick you up directly at your address, ready to take you on a journey through history, nature, and taste.

The adventure begins as we drive toward the Fantiscritti Marble Quarries, where a 4x4 jeep will take you up the mountain to the highest points, allowing you to admire the pristine White Statuary Marble, sparkling under the sunlight and offering panoramic views of the surrounding Alps. From this vantage point, you will understand why this marble has inspired artists for centuries.

After this breathtaking mountain experience, you will enter the quarry accompanied by a local expert guide, exploring the tunnels where marble is cut and learning the secrets of one of the most famous working marble quarries in Tuscany. The visit also includes the Marble Museum, where centuries of Carrara marble history come alive.

The tour continues with a stop in the picturesque village of Colonnata, renowned worldwide for its Colonnata Lardo. Stroll through its narrow streets, enjoy a tasting of this unique delicacy, and take in the spectacular views of the surrounding Apuan mountains.

In the afternoon, we will head to the Luni farmhouse, where you will enjoy a delightful wine tasting experience featuring five selected local wines paired with traditional products from the region, a perfect way to savor the flavors of Tuscany and Liguria.

Fantiscritti Marble Quarries – CarraraDeparture around 9:00 AM with your private driver, a certified environmental guide, who will accompany you throughout the day. On the way into the Apuan Alps, you will cross the Vara Bridges, historic viaducts from the old Marble Railway.Upon arrival at the quarries, you will board a 4x4 jeep to reach the higher areas where the famous White Statuary Marble is extracted, allowing you to admire the brilliant marble faces and enjoy breathtaking views over the mountains and quarries.You will then enter the quarry accompanied by a local specialized guide, exploring extraction tunnels and learning about traditional and modern marble-cutting techniques, including the connection to Michelangelo and his David.
