Upon arrival in the majestic city of Luxor (ancient Thebes) and after finishing the accommodation Check in, we went to visit the temple of Luxor, from the time of the new kingdom of the pharaohs: Tuthmosis III, Ramses II, Amenophis III and Alexander the Great. We can see the avenue of the 2,500-meter-long sphinxes dating back to the 4th century BC and the reign of Nectaneb II that connected the temple of Luxor with the temple of Karnak, which we later visited; It is the largest temple of worship in the world with more than 23 hectares. It is the history of Luxor (Thebes) with 22 centuries of works from the 20th century BC. until the 2nd century AD, all for the cult of the main triad of the city: Amon Re, Mot and Khonsu.

We return to the Nile cruise, have dinner and spend the night docked in Luxor.

Day 2:Luxor (West Bank) / breakfast, lunch and dinner

Early in the morning we will head to the western bank of the Nile to visit the most important necropolis in Egypt (place of Truth), the Valley of the Kings and we can enter three tombs of the 63 in total that have been discovered so far in the enclosure. The tombs have well preserved colors with very interesting texts that describe the afterlife and the king's journey to the afterlife of paradise. Our guide chooses the most interesting of those that are opened. Then we visit the temple of Deir El Bahary; It is the funerary temple of Pharaoh Hatshepsut from 1480 BC. which has a very rare shape of two ramps and three terraces in front of the cliff of the Theban limestone mountain. You can still see colors on the walls of the temple that still has a more carved part inside the mountain with the sanctuary of the holy place. Then we have a stop in front of the Colossi of Memnon; two gigantic statues that were moved from Cairo to flank the entrance to the funerary temple of King Amenophis III but the temple was lost and the statues remain, witness to the greatness that the temple possessed in its time.

Upon returning to the ship, lunch on the Nile cruise and the ship sets sail in the direction of Edfu town.

At sunset they can enjoy the passage of the Esna lock, more or less at the time of courtesy tea or coffee and from the terrace of the boat it is worth seeing this technique of crossing the rivers.

Day 3: Edfu -Kom Ombo Temples / breakfast, lunch and dinner

In the morning visit the Temple of Edfu. The temple dates from Ancient Egypt located on the west bank of the Nile in the city of Edfu 120 km south of Luxor. During the Greco-Roman period it was known as Apollinopolis Magna, dedicated the temple to the falcon god Horus of Edfu. It is the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak and one of the best preserved. The temple's pylon is the second tallest at 36 meters high and 79 meters wide. It was built for 180 years between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information about the language, mythology and religion during the Greco-Roman world in Ancient Egypt. The triad of the temple has more Hathor the wife and Ihy her son and the god of music. The site still has ruins of the old city and the houses of the priests, and restoration and excavation works are underway.

After your visit we will return the cruise to continue sailing towards the temple of Kom Ombo.... Afternoon Tea... Once here walking towards the temple of Kom Ombo; this temple with its special design of the division between two triads of six divinities: Sobek, the god in the form of a crocodile and Haroeris, with the head of a falcon. The temple has the shape of an acropolis with a level higher than the water level of the Nile River and is oriented towards the Nile. On the walls you can still notice the polychromies of the scenes, especially the columns in the courtyard. After visiting the temple, we can enter the museum of crocodile mummies that were found in a cemetery on the western bank of the Nile.

At the end of our visit, we come back to the Nil cruise, have dinner and we will continue sailing to Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan - Abu Simbel temples (optional) / breakfast, lunch and dinner

Those interested in Egyptian culture with its level so advanced by Egyptian architects can make, very early and before breakfast, the optional excursion of the temples of Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel is a site of archaeological interest that is made up of Egyptian temples located in Nubia, in southern Egypt. It is located on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 280 km southwest of Aswan, close to its original location. The temples are part of the open-air Museum of Nubia and Aswan, a complex that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979 under the name of "Nubian Monuments". The temples were carved out of the rock during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC. C., as a monument dedicated to said pharaoh and his wife Nefertari, to commemorate their supposed victory in the battle of Kadesh and show their power to their Nubian neighbors.

After lunch, you will be transferred to visit the famous High Dam, and the majestic Philae temple of Isis. The name comes from an island located in the Nile River, 11 kilometers south of Aswan. It was famous for the temples erected during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis; goddess of music, love and joy that spread throughout the Mediterranean, until the temple was closed in 430 AD. The island of Philae was submerged in the 20th century under the waters impounded by the Aswan Dam, although under the patronage of UNESCO, especially the French, the temples were dismantled, moved and rebuilt on the nearby islet of Agilkia. It bears names of several governors starting with Nectaneb II, pharaoh of the XXX dynasty, sacred buildings of some importance began to be erected on the island. The Ptolemies continued to expand the complex and, later, some Roman emperors such as Augustus, Tiberius, Trajan and Hadrian, ordered the construction of more buildings...Then, back to the Nile cruise Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.
