Entertainment in Greece is rarely a separate building with a ticket — more often it is ordinary life you are let into. A Cretan night in a village below Rethymno: lyra, wine, dances that pull everyone in by the end of the evening. Food walks in Thessaloniki and Athens, moving from stall to stall and eating standing up. Scavenger hunts through the old towns — Athens, Chania, Kos — where the city is seen by solving tasks.

The second line is the water as a stage. Day cruises with lunch and swimming off Ithaca and Kefalonia, an evening catamaran along the Athens Riviera with dinner, sailing outings on Mykonos. All of it is entertainment in the original sense: company, food, sea, music, and nothing further required.

Practical notes. A Cretan night means a late evening with a return towards midnight, worth weighing with children. Food walks are joined hungry: the portions are many and it amounts to a full dinner. The hunts go at your own pace without a guide, needing a phone with internet. Evenings at sea are colder than on shore, so something with sleeves is obligatory; departures depend on the wind, with money returned on cancellation.
