Airport and City Transfers in Croatia in 2026: Easy Rides, Less Stress
Croatia's airports are spread across the country — Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, and Pula — and the transfer from any of them to the actual stay involves different logic. Dubrovnik's airport is on the other side of a mountain from the old city, a 30-minute road drive; Split's airport serves a ferry hub where the transfer timing must account for island connections; Pula's airport serves an Istrian peninsula where the villa or agriturismo might be well inland. Pre-booked transfers in Croatia are more useful than usual because the island-and-coast geography makes improvised roadside pickups genuinely awkward for visitors with luggage and onward connections to manage.
