Fascinated by the beauty of Sintra, the queen's husband decided to purchase a monastery and adjacent lands and build a summer palace for the royal family on this site. In one of the wings of the Palace there is a restaurant, which offers a magnificent panorama of the Serra da Sintra mountains and the coast. Visit Quinta da Regaleira, and enjoy the village of Sintra, don’t forget to taste the famous queijada de Sintra. Meet the westernmost point of continental Europe and imagine the minds of our people when they wonder what could be beyond the horizon you see from here. Let yourself be in awe of the landscapes of Cascais bay as you make your way back to Lisbon.
