Full description

The tour begins in Avignon, the historic City of the Popes. During the 14th century, Avignon was the center of the Catholic world. Visitors can admire the impressive Palais des Papes, the largest Gothic palace in Europe, and see the famous Pont Saint-Bénézet, known worldwide as the Pont d’Avignon, a medieval bridge that once crossed the Rhône River.

The journey continues to Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the most beautiful hilltop villages in France. Perched dramatically on a rocky ridge in the Alpilles mountains, the village offers breathtaking views over olive groves and vineyards. Its narrow medieval streets, stone houses, and the ruins of its ancient fortress make it a fascinating step back in time.

The final stop is Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a charming Provençal town surrounded by olive trees and Roman history. The town is famous for its lively markets, elegant boulevards shaded by plane trees, and its connection to the painter Vincent van Gogh, who stayed here in 1889 and created some of his most famous works.
