Walk among the white marble headstones and visit the memorial colonnade, featuring the powerful sculpture Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves and maps illustrating the military operations of World War II. From the cemetery grounds, you can also see remnants of the German coastal defenses on the cliffs overlooking the landing beaches.
