Full description

Ski Dubai is an indoor snow resort inside Mall of the Emirates, held at around minus two degrees all year while the city outside runs to forty. This ticket covers the Snow Park, which is the play side of the resort rather than the ski slope: tobogganing runs, a bobsled ride, snowball-throwing galleries, climbing towers, a zorb-ball run and the Mountain Thriller slide, plus a gentle snow-covered play area for younger children. Winter clothing, jackets and boots are included and issued at the entrance, so you can arrive in shorts and be properly dressed in minutes - you need only bring your own gloves and warm socks, or buy them on site. There is also a colony of king and gentoo penguins in residence, with scheduled appearances through the day. Allow around two hours. It is a reliable option in the summer, when much of Dubai's outdoor programme is unusable, and it works for a wide age range.

Itinerary

Ski Dubai, Mall of the Emirates. Collect your winter jacket, trousers and boots at the entrance inside Mall of the Emirates, then step into an indoor slope kept at around minus four degrees with real snow underfoot. Depending on your ticket you can ski or board the runs served by chairlift and tow, or stay in the Snow Park for tobogganing, zorb balls and the snow cavern. The resident penguins appear at set times each day. Allow around two hours.

Don’t forget

Winter jackets and snow boots are provided and included in the ticket, so you can arrive in normal clothes. What is not provided is gloves and warm socks - bring your own or buy them on site, because the snow is real and hands get cold quickly. Wear long trousers rather than shorts; you will be sitting on snow for the toboggan and bobsled. The park is inside Mall of the Emirates and is held at around minus two degrees, so allow a few minutes to acclimatise. Sessions are timed from entry, and the two-hour window includes changing. Some attractions have height and age minimums, posted at each one. Penguin appearances run to a set schedule through the day - ask at the entrance if you want to catch one. Lockers are available. Not suitable for anyone with a condition aggravated by cold.
