Our archaeologist will also show you a figure consisting of three stylized human arms or legs radiating from a center and a series of concentric circles thought to have been a primitive means of measuring time! We visit the quiet village of Rivona to visit a natural cave made of laterite in the next leg of this Goa Tour. It is believed to be the home of the Pandavas of the Mahabharata fame during their exile.
The architecture, sculptures, and inscriptions in the fields nearby indicate that these caves are the creation of Buddhist monks in the 6th century. We will also visit an interesting tunnel dug in the laterite. which is supposed to open out in the neighboring village. Our next destination is a mysterious lake in the town of Netravati. Located in the vicinity of the Gopinath Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, this lake is famous for bubbles on its surface.
What is even more strange is the fact that these bubbles rise when we clap! Is this a miracle of Lord Krishna? Or is there a scientific explanation? Our archeologist will shed some light on this during the tour. Tanishkar’s farm is situated in the rainforest region of Western Ghats at Netravali village.
We will visit the spice farm and have traditional Goan lunch served in the earthen vessel in a natural ambiance.
After lunch we will take a tour of the farm and learn about different spices that are grown here. We will take you back to your hotel at about 5PM.
