If you like castles, in Gjirokaster is the biggest in South Albania, built in the 13th century and still in use now a days. Than we will have free time to explore the Old Bazar. A traditional lunch is included. Gjirokastra is well known for its food tradition.

Beside the history and the Bazaar there is time to walk through the nature and visit one of the most important water springs area in South of Albania. 

Itinerary

Gjirokastra: the Ottoman city and Blue Eye Spring. Start from Sarande. Drive to Gjirokaster ( 1 h 15 min ) through the mountains enjoin a beautiful view of the wild mountains of the Southern part of Albania. Arrival in Gjirokaster. Walk through the old Bazaar to reach the Argjiro Castle. (The duration of the visit max 1.5 h. ) Free time for lunch and to explore the Bazaar. Drive to Blue Eye Spring. The natural springs well-known for the crystal clear colors and the beautiful colors. The park has the name of the biggest spring the Blu Eye but there are more than 20 springs around. Walking part from the main gate of the park to the heart of the springs. Time to explore, photos and coffee time close by  the water. - drive back to Saranda. - Drop off at the start point or the center of the city .
