Rovaniemi: Reindeer Safari & Sled Ride with Sámi Family Heritage - Small Group

The Reindeer Safari is one of Lapland’s most authentic winter experiences — and with Arctic GM, you’ll discover it with a family with Sámi heritage, where reindeer herding knowledge and traditions have been passed down through generations. The Experience

Your journey begins with pickup from your Rovaniemi accommodation in a brand-new 2025 luxury 4x4 van. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by herders and introduced to their reindeer herd.

Next, step into a traditional sled and glide 2.5 km across snowy forests, guided by the gentle pace of your reindeer team. Along the way, soak in the silence of Lapland’s wilderness and the magic of traveling as locals have done for centuries.

After the ride, you’ll gather inside a traditional kota by the fire. Warm up with hot drinks, listen to stories from the herders, and receive your own Reindeer Driving License — a playful yet memorable souvenir of your Arctic adventure.

To finish, step outside to feed the reindeer and spend more time with these gentle animals before returning to Rovaniemi.
