During this food tour, a local chef will teach you about Roman food! We will introduce you to the authentic tastes and flavors of Roman cuisine. As you get ready to start the gastronomic adventure, you will take a walk through the busy neighborhoods of Trastevere and Campo de' Fiori and learn about what makes Roman and Italian food special. You will see that food in Rome has great cultural significance: Italians are used to sitting in trattorias, eating slowly, talking loudly, and having a good time. In other words, cooking and eating are popular social activities in Italy!
You will have the chance to try some unusual dishes that are an important part of the region's culinary history. You will get to try a few tasty samples and learn about the history, culture, and architecture of the City of the Popes. You will also be given lunch. After concluding the tour with wine and homemade pasta, you will go to Trastevere, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the middle of the city, where you can relax in luxury.
Street food has been a staple in the city for many years, as your tour guide will explain, and it has been around for quite some time. Among many other things, you can sample arancini, suplì, and mozzarella in Carrozza, pizza Bianca, and pizza alla pala. You will be reminded that Roman cuisine is worthy of tranquility and that specific, straightforward recipes call for time, patience, and a passion for food. You will have the chance to sample some of the restaurant's most well-known dishes, such as pasta cacio e pepe, pasta all'Amatriciana, saltimbocca (meat rolls stuffed with ham and cheese), carciofi alla Giudia (fried artichokes), and scottadito, among others.
